My last day was one of the most sensational and unforgettable memories I’ve made. 

First we had a graduation ceremony which was fantastic and some of my friends even got rewarded which was splendid and astonishing in a really good way. We sprayed one of our morning teacher with shaving cream and he loved it (I think).


After the ceremony we went to London and saw the Big Ben which made me hold my breath. Thinking that such a structure was made in the ancient times shocked me. The streets crowded with people walking which they looked as if they were ants and buildings towering over the streets, London had a strange atmosphere which stood out from an other big cities. It was also a really busy city where people never stopped moving.

After I came back from London I went to the river to make my final memory with the friends I met at Saint Clare’s. We went diving into the river which was pretty dirty but the fun moments made me forget that it was such a dirty river. We hugged goodbye and some people were even crying remembering the great times they had at this great summer camp.

Finally, it is beginning to study abroad in the UK. Yesterday, we left Japan and arrived in the UK. On the plane, we watched movies and played games. I ate chicken and rice on the plane but the rice was not the rice we normally eat. When we arrived in the UK, I felt little nervous because I worried about life in the UK. It is not hot in the UK and it's actually quite cold. Ginkgo leaves have fallen outside. It's similar to autumn in Japan. And yesterday, I met my roommate for the first time. She is from China and very cheerful. We have only had formal conversations so far, but I hope to talk more in the future. Today, we had our first class. I introduced myself to my classmates and learned about the school rules. The teachers at school look scary but are actually very kind. There are people of many different countries  in my class.   Today is the second day of our study abroad. In the morning, I had a class about the five senses. It was difficult for me, but the teacher in my class kindly taught me. In the afternoon, I participated in an activity called punting with my friends. Punting is about going down the river by boat. We had a lot of fun going down the river while watching swans and ducks. And I had dinner outside with my friends, it was very delicious! I want to do my best tomorrow too! By K.U.

Wednesday August 6th by A.Y.

  Today we went to an art museum a for little walk from school for a field trip in the morning. It was very interesting to see how the exhibits were connected to each other. After school, we took the bus to Alice's Shop. I was relieved to get on the bus without making a mistake. Also, I was very happy to see the beautiful garden and buy some British souvenirs. Although I sometimes feel anxious about my new environment, the British city is very beautiful and I could make new friends. So, I am having a lot of fun.
