We arrived safely back in Tokyo this morning, so I'd like to say a few final words.  It’s been a good trip, which the students seem to have enjoyed greatly. They were given a great deal of freedom, acted independently, and broadened their worldview. I hope they were able to learn some English, put it into active use, make some new friends, and also discover something about themselves, their abilities, and their potential. At the leaving ceremony on Friday, some of our students received individual awards . The class teachers were asked to nominate one student from each class who stood out, with Satoshi and Taisei receiving such awards for their efforts in the classroom. These prizes were not about academic ability, but recognised students who made a particularly strong effort by consistently showing active engagement, a positive outlook, and an inclusive approach toward involving others. My last day was one of the most sensational and unforgettable memories I’ve made.  First we had a graduation ceremony which was fantastic and some of my friends even got rewarded which was splendid and astonishing in a really good way. We sprayed one of our morning teacher with shaving cream and he loved it (I think). After the ceremony we went to London and saw the Big Ben which made me hold my breath. Thinking that such a structure was made in the ancient times shocked me. The streets crowded with people walking which they looked as if they were ants and buildings towering over the streets, London had a strange atmosphere which stood out from an other big cities. It was also a really busy city where people never stopped moving. After I came back from London I went to the river to make my final memory with the friends I met at Saint Clare’s. We went diving into the river which was pretty dirty but the fun moments made me forget that it was such a dirty river. We hugged goodbye and...

I did henna with my friends. I played with the cats in the dormitory garden. They were very cute. I went to The Grand Café with my friends. Mr. Taisei was wearing a bucket hat. It suited him very well lol Mr. Waku was wearing a fur coat. It suited him very well. I visited the Natural History Museum with Mr. Makita. I became friends with the Korean people. They were very friendly. I became friends with Mr. Takayuki in the UK.  He was a very nice person. By Y.T.

My enjoyable trip to the UK is now down to the last two days. Throughout this journey, by meeting and talking with many people, I have learned far more than I could ever learn from books or classes. For example, I discovered the kinds of values people from other countries hold, and what trends are popular among young people in their cultures. I truly learned so much, and I can honestly say that this study abroad experience has made me feel, from the bottom of my heart, that I’m glad I came. I believe that what I have learned here will surely be useful in my future life, so I will do my best to make sure it doesn’t go to waste. By T.M.

  I found a 50p snack at M&S in the UK. It was even more delicious than I expected, so I ended up buying another one. After that, I bought a bubble milk tea, but it overflowed because there was too much, and it ended up spilling on my trousers. By H.K.

Today I made a presentation to be given on Friday. The theme is mystery. My team will give a presentation about VAMPIRE. In the afternoon I made bracelets with activity. I’m glad I was able to make a cute bracelet. We had chicken and potato for dinner. After dinner I went to the supermarket with my friend.I bought snacks and water.After that I talked with my friend. Today my mother asked me to buy her a cup of tea, so I headed to City Center! There I bought some tea named Earl Grey and some chocolate milk. After that, I went to eat a hamburger and fries with Waku. It was spicy so I gave it to Waku.  After that, I bought an Oxford key chain and an Oxford hat! I have only two days until I return to Japan from England, so I want to continue to enjoy England to the fullest！ By K.K.

Today we went to the museum in class. We went on a double-decker bus. The museum had exhibits of plates from the past and also had the opportunity to dig in the dirt to find out what was inside. The museum also sold Alice in Wonderland merchandise as souvenirs. In the afternoon, we took part in an activity where we painted tote bags. I went with a friend and it was difficult to paint, but it was a lot of fun. When I got back to my dorm, there were three spiders in my room. By A.O.

A lot of things happened today. First, smoke come out of the microwave in our dormitory.The fire truck came soon and it didn't cause a fire. We don’t know the culprit yet. Second, I studied  new section about mystery at school. I enjoyed the class because I like mystery books and mystery drama. So I’m looking forward to the class from now on. He is my teacher Mr.Jon. Third, I went to Oxford University. Oxford university has different carriages depending on the facility. I saw 4 out of 38. This photo is a biology carriage. Finally, I went to the pizza restaurant and I had a fun dinner sharing pizza with my friends. It was a very fun day. By S.F.

Today we went to two historical places in the UK. First, we went to Stonehenge. The length of that circle is over 100m, and some of the stones are over 6m tall. I wondered how it was made thousands of years ago. The place was very amazing, but the weather was too hot to walk outside.  I went to Bath next. I had fish&chips with Shota Tamagami and some other people. I was surprised that they have vinegar for chips. After that, we went to Bath Abbey but we didn't have enough time so we didn’t go inside the Abbey. If I have a chance to go to Bath again, I would like to go inside the Abbey. Today I took classes in the morning. The class was about mysteries. Classes ended in the morning, so I went to eat pasta. The pasta was the best I've had in England in a long time! After that, I played UNO with my friends in the dormitory. It was very interesting that my friend had 102 copies! By A.H.

Today we went to different places in the UK it was amazing because I could see a lot of historical places.  First, we went to Stonehenge. I walked around the stones it was interesting because I could feel the nature of the UK and it was really good experience for me.   Second we went to Bath city. It is a very historical place in the UK because it’s very famous about the hot spring and we cannot go to the museum because it was so expensive. Is it going to the museum?  We went to eat fish and chips at the restaurant and it was so super good I really liked it. I want to go there again.  We always stay in the Oxford. I think it’s very nice, but I think it’s going to be fun to go to other places because we can feel different things so today was so interesting and fun. Today was a very busy day than usual. First, we went to Westfield London shopping center. This shopping center is one of the biggest shopping centers in London. And we went to a little cafe to refresh our thirst. And then we went around the shopping center to buy some souvenirs. It was too large to see everything in 2hours, so I bought a hoodie with  a London national flag and some magnets written all over London. Therefore, for the last few minutes we ate fish and chips. It was extremely delicious and I ate the last of it all.This is the picture when we ate together. Secondly, we went to the National History Museum in London.This museum is also so big and we can’t see all of it.This building has three floors. However, we got so caught up in the jewelry section that we ended up spending most of our time there.The huge gemstone displayed in the center was truly beautiful and captivating — I felt like I saw something that can only be found here. Today we went to shopping in Westfield. I bought a tea for my family. After shopping, we went to “Natural History Museum “.  It was a very beautiful place.  There was a big whale in the hall. There were also various dinosaurs and animals. I wanted to go to the museum, so it was a great experience. By S.I.

My Presentation and a Day at Blenheim Palace. Today was a very busy and special day. First, I presented a video I made about my memories in front of my class. I was a little nervous, but after my presentation, I felt very happy and proud. After that, I watched the presentations from other classes. There were shadow plays and dance parties, and they were all very fun and interesting. In the afternoon, we went to Blenheim Palace.  The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful paintings and the gorgeous decorations inside the palace.  Every detail on the ceiling and walls was amazing, and I felt like I was in a story. There was also a special system that used sound to show how people lived in the past. Listening to it made me imagine life a long time ago, and it was very interesting. Today I gave a presentation in class. The theme is old memories.  After the presentation, I watched plays by other classes. Finally, I had my last class of the week and then I had lunch. In the afternoon I went to Blenheim Palace which has a variety of interesting exhibits. By R.I.

Today was an amazing day.    In the morning, I met a cat in my house’s garden. Until yesterday, I think it didn’t like me. But today, it got closer to itself❤️ I felt happy about it. And, I made a new friend in my classroom. His name is Davide. He is from Italy.  Davide knew my hometown Saitama. It was surprised. In today’s lesson, I went to the museum. And,I drew a picture. I wanted to draw a picture of a rose, but a man who is an artist said: “Your picture looks like a beautiful snake.”. I wasn’t very happy about it… Does this picture look like a beautiful snake??
