My Presentation and a Day at Blenheim Palace.

Today was a very busy and special day.

First, I presented a video I made about my memories in front of my class. I was a little nervous, but after my presentation, I felt very happy and proud. After that, I watched the presentations from other classes. There were shadow plays and dance parties, and they were all very fun and interesting.

In the afternoon, we went to Blenheim Palace. 


The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful paintings and the gorgeous decorations inside the palace.

 Every detail on the ceiling and walls was amazing, and I felt like I was in a story. There was also a special system that used sound to show how people lived in the past. Listening to it made me imagine life a long time ago, and it was very interesting.

After looking around, I ate ice cream with my friends near the palace.

The ice cream was so delicious — not too sweet, and it melted softly in my mouth.

However, some parts of the palace were under construction, so I could not see everything. That’s why I want to visit again after the construction is finished. Next time, I want to enjoy the places I could not see this time.

Finally, it is beginning to study abroad in the UK. Yesterday, we left Japan and arrived in the UK. On the plane, we watched movies and played games. I ate chicken and rice on the plane but the rice was not the rice we normally eat. When we arrived in the UK, I felt little nervous because I worried about life in the UK. It is not hot in the UK and it's actually quite cold. Ginkgo leaves have fallen outside. It's similar to autumn in Japan. And yesterday, I met my roommate for the first time. She is from China and very cheerful. We have only had formal conversations so far, but I hope to talk more in the future. Today, we had our first class. I introduced myself to my classmates and learned about the school rules. The teachers at school look scary but are actually very kind. There are people of many different countries  in my class.   Today is the second day of our study abroad. In the morning, I had a class about the five senses. It was difficult for me, but the teacher in my class kindly taught me. In the afternoon, I participated in an activity called punting with my friends. Punting is about going down the river by boat. We had a lot of fun going down the river while watching swans and ducks. Wednesday August 6th by A.Y.

  Today we went to an art museum a for little walk from school for a field trip in the morning. It was very interesting to see how the exhibits were connected to each other. After school, we took the bus to Alice's Shop. I was relieved to get on the bus without making a mistake. Also, I was very happy to see the beautiful garden and buy some British souvenirs. Although I sometimes feel anxious about my new environment, the British city is very beautiful and I could make new friends. So, I am having a lot of fun.
