Today we went to two historical places in the UK.


First, we went to Stonehenge. The length of that circle is over 100m, and some of the stones are over 6m tall. I wondered how it was made thousands of years ago. The place was very amazing, but the weather was too hot to walk outside. 


I went to Bath next. I had fish&chips with Shota Tamagami and some other people. I was surprised that they have vinegar for chips. After that, we went to Bath Abbey but we didn't have enough time so we didn’t go inside the Abbey.


If I have a chance to go to Bath again, I would like to go inside the Abbey.

Finally, it is beginning to study abroad in the UK. Yesterday, we left Japan and arrived in the UK. On the plane, we watched movies and played games. I ate chicken and rice on the plane but the rice was not the rice we normally eat. When we arrived in the UK, I felt little nervous because I worried about life in the UK. It is not hot in the UK and it's actually quite cold. Ginkgo leaves have fallen outside. It's similar to autumn in Japan. And yesterday, I met my roommate for the first time. She is from China and very cheerful. We have only had formal conversations so far, but I hope to talk more in the future. Today, we had our first class. I introduced myself to my classmates and learned about the school rules. The teachers at school look scary but are actually very kind. There are people of many different countries  in my class. I can talk with my classmates from other countries. So I felt very happy and I gained confidence in my ability to do my best in this class. Du...

  Today is the second day of our study abroad. In the morning, I had a class about the five senses. It was difficult for me, but the teacher in my class kindly taught me. In the afternoon, I participated in an activity called punting with my friends. Punting is about going down the river by boat. We had a lot of fun going down the river while watching swans and ducks. And I had dinner outside with my friends, it was very delicious! I want to do my best tomorrow too! By K.U.

Wednesday August 6th by A.Y.

  Today we went to an art museum a for little walk from school for a field trip in the morning. It was very interesting to see how the exhibits were connected to each other. After school, we took the bus to Alice's Shop. I was relieved to get on the bus without making a mistake. Also, I was very happy to see the beautiful garden and buy some British souvenirs. Although I sometimes feel anxious about my new environment, the British city is very beautiful and I could make new friends. So, I am having a lot of fun. I will do my best to cherish the valuable opportunities that I will only experience here. By A.Y.
